Overview

The “Big Brother” to Model 640 the 1140 is available with Hydraulic or PTO drive options and a larger hopper capacity for larger tractors.

The flexible, polymer finger bar retains shape in the cold, and defines pressure in order to release even quantities of de-icing material. The rotating agitator bar prevents material from clumping and ensures the even distribution of de-icer through the drum. With rotating distributor drums, the 1140 has the ability to spread de-icing material in an even, consistent cross hatch pattern. The tension lever assembly fine-tunes the rate of flow for alternate materials (ie. fine sand vs. coarse salt).

This model also includes galvanized grate screens which prevent larger pieces of material from entering the hopper. As a safety measure, the grate prevents human contact with the agitator. A lifting lug is used to safely install or remove the unit from the tractor, while additionally keeping the grate secure.

An 8"extension ring is available for the hopper providing an additional 5 cubic feet of capacity.

An optional Universal Skid Steer Adapter Plate is also available for purchase to mount the unit on the front of most skid steers.

Complete with 10 gauge steel and a powder coat finish, the 1140 is used by the same users as the 640 but with more capacity for less filling cycles.
